6-12-09 WHAT THE HEY, THIS IS A NEWS POST. The first one in, what, four years? Which is kind of strange since I posted several minor bugfixes for my games and started a comic about UOSSMUD during that time. (To be fair, if you don't know play UOSSMUD, it's seriously not worth reading, and even if you do it's questionable at best) But this announcement is important! It deserves a newspost! You see, I UPDATED VINDICATION. It doesn't have *everything* I wanted to put in, but I fixed about a million bugs and rewrote about a third of the dialogue and fixed all sorts of crazy game balance issues and gave Cole blue magic and added a new character to the final team and gave the game a real final boss. So I'm happy. This update took me the last two months or so to put together. Dear GOD there were a lot of bugs in that game. If you find any more, please email me! |

10-11-05 You probably figured this out on your own, and you're probably not even reading this. But just in case you're very faithful or very dense, B.U.R.G.E.R. is on indefinite hiatus. I've kind of refocused my energies on UOSSMUD. The Vindication expansion is still being kind of worked on... but it certainly won't be finished this month. |

5-13-05 This hardly needs mentioning since there's no way you could miss it, but some things on the site were recolored to look less dumb. Also, don't expect any updates for the next two weeks. I'm very busy right now. After that I'll probably flood the site with new crap, so just wait for it. Vindication is coming along well. Version 2.0 is the final version of the original product; all future updates will be in the form of "expansion packs." The first expansion pack, which will be known as Vindication: Extra Crunchy, will include new skillsets for James and Cole, along with a new "Inherent Force" system to allow limited customization of each character's abilities. Don't worry, it won't make the characters all the same. Think more along the lines of FF9's equippable ability system. |

5-13-05 Forgive me... |

5-10-05 Apparently .tk domains have started using interstitial ads. That's annoying. Please update your bookmarks to point to http://burger.sandwich.net if you didn't already do so back in February. That is the site that burdersite.tk redirects you to anyway, but without the interstitial and popup ads. Also, the Maddness section was removed since it kind of died, and the PS2 ROMs section was removed because I decided that it wasn't funny any more. |

2-23-05 Vindication 2.0 is available for download. It has a totally reworked battle system, and dozens of all-new bugs. Lolz. It's the same great story with an FF6-style battle system. It doesn't have everything I wanted to put in it, but it's 100% playable, and everything that I did add in this version seems to work perfectly as far as I can tell. Anyone who's played my previous releases knows exactly how much that means. At least the game doesn't always freeze up during specific mandatory plot scenes any more. Additional features will be added at a later time and will probably screw up your saved games when they're added. |

2-17-05 As I'm sure everyone's noticed, there has been a scarcity of content of late. The reason is that I haven't had internet access for almost a month. It's not like I ditch the site on purpose, except for when I actually do. Anyway, I should have the net again in the next couple days. On the bright side, I'm part of Taylor again now, so I have a million new reasons to be angry. Expect The Cynic to be updated soon, hopefully. Another bit of news: I'm no longer using Angelfire at all, except for the poll. The site is now located at burger.sandwich.net. The main things that this means for you all is that there are no longer any ads, and the Vindication download will work more than once per hour. www.burgersite.tk will still work also, but going directly to burger.sandwich.net doesn't give you the pop-up ads at the beginning. If you find any broken links or non-working pages, please let me know by emailing . |

1-8-05 There's a new writer. Her name is Madds. She's an absolute lunatic. I mean, this girl is pixie-stick-snorting, hockey-mask-and-clown-hair-wearing, howl-at-the-moon, peanut-butter-oreo insane in some deep, fundamental ways. She's also in middle school, which may be part of the issue. She reminds me of myself, except that she's a little more normal than I ever was, so I'm taking her on as an apprentice and training her to keep doing exactly what she's doing already. Check out her section, The Madness, which the title does not do justice to. Now I have a dilemma. B.U.R.G.E.R. has a staff page, but for lack of an actual staff, it consists of me and six people who blatantly don't exist. Now I'm getting another writer, a real person. Should I... NOT add her to the staff page? I mean, if I did add her, people would not believe she was a real person. |

9-28-04 Flower Bubble Game!!! was changed to have exclamation points in its name. Oh, and some bugs were fixed. |
|
9-14-04 Apparently I've accidentally become a celebrity while I wasn't paying attention. I'll have to split the bandwidth up between more than just two Angelfire accounts, or else start paying for webspace, if this keeps up. Ah well, it's a good complaint to have. |
|
8-31-04 School has started back up. What this means for me is that I once again am being forced to have contact with other people. This, naturally, causes me to be pissed off a lot more often. What it means for readers, therefore, is that The Cynic will probably be getting more action. |
|
8-7-04 There's a new game in the games section. Incidentally, there's now a games section. The game is called Flower Bubble Game. In case the name doesn't tip you off, the game involves picking flowers and blowing bubbles, and the whole thing is pretty girly. I can't believe I made this abomination. It will either instill utter horror into the depths of your soul, or entertain you for about an hour. If you like The Cynic, stay away from this thing. The new game probably has some bugs, because I can't stand to play it for more than five minutes at a time and so I didn't test it very thoroughly. |
|
6-12-04 B.U.R.G.E.R. now has a forum. Hooray. I absolutely demand that every last one of you make a post on it of some sort... so that I can get a count of how many readers I have. The forum is a general discussion board. I mean, it'd be nice if you all got on it and made inflammatory remarks about how much this website sucks or something like that, but if you'd rather try to pick up girls, or trick other readers into clicking on porn sites, or whatever, go ahead. I'm not gonna stop you. I'd rather you do that than never even look at the message board at all. |

6-10-04 I released a new version of Vindication. I fixed a dozen or so bugs (including some crippling ones), added a boss to the bottom of Pialid Castle, changed the descriptions for all the equipment in the game to make it less descriptive and more humorous, and rewrote a lot of the dialogue that was awkward, poorly written, or badly spaced. In addition to no longer freezing before the first dungeon, I think the game overall is about 200% better now. Please play it and give me suggestions on improvements I could make. |

5-27-04 Vindication, my RPG, has been updated. There is a new version. Yes, that's right, it's version 1.0. The game isn't completely done, of course, but it now plays through until it gets to an ending, after defeating a final boss, with a definite sense of resolution. In other words... it's no longer a demo, it's now a game. Go play it, and be amazed at how awesome I am. I should work for Squaresoft. |
